Google Finally Updated My PageRank, and it’s a PR3!
Thank god I’ve finally submitted my mini thesis. Now it’s time to regenerate my energy to prepare for the viva, and to blog again after a long holiday. I browsed some of my favourite blogs today, and suddenly I realized that the Google Pagerank has been updated, at last. It was a relief to see that this blog received a modest PR3. From 0 to 3, not a bad jump eh? I won’t complain much since I didn’t expect this blog to get more than PR4 anyway, but thanks Google for the update
There are also complaints from other bloggers who expected to get more than what they’re given, as well as those A-list bloggers whose pagerank were dropped. I’m actually amused by those who gave the ’sour grape’ attitude towards Google Pagerank. At one time, these people value PR more than anything else, posting articles on how to increase PR and so on. When they got penalized, or they didn’t get what they want, they started bashing at the algorithm Google used, and how irrelevant PR is for their blogs’ popularity and income.
My advice, stop whining and just get on with blogging. Whether you like it or not, it’s Google who’s gonna give us the PR so continuously whining won’t make your PR increases. Well done to those who got higher PR, and tough luck for those who didn’t.
As far as the money is concerned, my new PR opens up a lot of opportunities for me to diversify my source of income. I know I can do more offer in PayPerPost now that I have a PR3 blog. So all in all, no complaints from me, and it’s nice to have a PR at least
