Paula’s List of Blogger Salaries : Malaysian Version
Paula Mooney has posted a new list of blogger salaries again, updated for the month of June. What’s interesting in this updated version is that there are quite a few of my fellow Malaysians have made it to the list. Congrats to Gobala Krishnan, Alang, LiewCF, Sabahan, Paul Tan, Chan Lilian and Menj! And thanks to Paula again, I’ve got to know a lot of new bloggers and webmasters that have been successful in making money online, either through advertising, paid blogging or several other means. For those who’ve been trying to become successful in their money making journey, this list should be a good motivation for them to stop whining but instead, do their very best and keep on going. The people that have made it to the list, surely didn’t do it in one week. So if we just consistently work hard day in day out, we’ll get there one day, God willing.
I’ve been thinking of creating a similar list as Paula’s, but only for Malaysian bloggers and webmasters since I’ve met quite a lot of them that are making some money online. I think for an average Malaysian to get $60,000 a year is considered good enough, or can be labelled as wealthy, especially if you don’t live in big cities like Kuala Lumpur or Johor Bahru. So my next project would be to get as many information as I can from all of my fellow Malaysian bloggers regarding their income online, although i know some of them are quite reluctant to reveal their earnings. But nevertheless, I should get a rough estimate on what Malaysians have been getting through their online endeavours.
